Terms & Conditions
Article 1 (Subject matter)
- These Terms and Conditions govern access to and use of the Sua Clínica, Lda. website and platform (hereinafter the "Clinic"), as well as the conditions under which its services are provided.
- The Clinic is the company SUA CLÍNICA, LDA., a legal entity with registration number 519550412, registered at Avenida 25 de Abril, Edifício Navegador 1011, Loja 67 (piso -2), 2750-515 Cascais, contactable at geral@suaclinica.pt.
- Use of the website and services constitutes full acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
- The information available on the website is for general informational purposes only and does not replace an individualised clinical assessment.
Article 2 (Services provided)
- The Clinic provides services in the field of mental health, including consultations in psychology, psychotherapy, neuropsychology and related areas.
- Services may be provided in person, at the clinic in Cascais, or remotely via secure and confidential video call.
- The Sofia Assistant is an AI-powered guidance tool that helps patients find the most suitable professional. It does not replace a clinical assessment and does not make diagnoses.
💡 Sofia guides referrals — diagnosis is always made by a certified healthcare professional.
Article 3 (Registration and personal account)
- To book an appointment, patients must create an account on the platform, providing their name, mobile number and email address.
- Patients agree to provide accurate, complete and up-to-date information.
- Account access is personal and non-transferable. Patients are responsible for the confidentiality of their credentials.
- The Clinic reserves the right to suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms and Conditions.
Article 4 (Booking appointments and contact channels)
- Appointments may be booked through the following channels:
- website — suaclinica.pt (booking section);
- Sofia Assistant — available on the website;
- WhatsApp — the Clinic's official number (via WhatsApp Business);
- telephone or email — during opening hours.
- Appointment confirmation is sent automatically by email, SMS and/or WhatsApp after payment, depending on the patient's preferences.
- Booking implies acceptance of the Cancellation and Refund Policy, the Privacy Policy and the Informed Consent.
💡 WhatsApp is managed via WhatsApp Business (Meta Business API). Messages exchanged through this channel are subject to Meta Platforms, Inc.'s Terms of Service, in addition to these Terms and Conditions.
Article 5 (Payments)
- Payment is made at the time of booking, using the available methods: credit or debit card, MB Way or Multibanco reference.
- Each professional sets their own fee. The amount is displayed before booking confirmation, with no hidden charges.
- The Clinic accepts reimbursement from partner health insurers. Patients should verify the terms of their plan before the appointment.
- In the event of a technical failure in payment processing, the booking will not be confirmed and the patient will be notified immediately.
Article 6 (Cancellations and no-shows)
- The conditions for cancellation, rescheduling and no-shows are governed by the Cancellation and Refund Policy, available at suaclinica.pt.
- In summary:
- cancellation with 24 or more hours' notice: full refund;
- cancellation with less than 24 hours' notice: credit for a future appointment (valid for 90 days);
- no-show without notice: no refund or credit.
Article 7 (Professional reviews)
- After each appointment, patients are invited to rate the healthcare professional on a scale of 1 to 5 stars.
- Reviews are anonymous and visible on each professional's public profile, promoting transparency.
- The Clinic reserves the right to remove reviews containing offensive, false or irrelevant content.
- Professionals may not solicit, pressure or condition reviews.
Article 8 (Remote consultations)
- Online consultations take place via secure and confidential video call, in an environment equivalent to an in-person consultation.
- Patients must ensure they have a stable internet connection and a private location for the consultation.
- In the event of a technical failure attributable to the Clinic's platform, the appointment will be rescheduled at no cost to the patient.
- Scientific evidence confirms that online consultations are as effective as in-person consultations for the vast majority of clinical situations.
Article 9 (Communications and notifications)
- The Clinic sends automatic communications related to the booking and management of appointments by email, SMS and WhatsApp, depending on the patient's preferences:

- Patients can manage their notification preferences in their Personal Area, including the option to receive or not receive messages via WhatsApp.
- WhatsApp communications are sent via WhatsApp Business. Patients may stop receiving messages at any time by replying STOP or through their Personal Area.
💡 WhatsApp is the preferred channel for quick communications. Patients may opt out of receiving messages via this channel without any impact on their booking or use of services.
Article 10 (Personal data protection)
- The processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with the Clinic's Privacy Policy and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
- Patients have the right to access, rectify, port and erase their personal data, as well as to object to its processing for marketing purposes.
- The exercise of these rights may be requested by contacting rgpd@suaclinica.pt.
- To delete their account and associated data, patients should contact the Clinic directly at rgpd@suaclinica.pt.
- The mobile number provided at registration may be used to send communications via WhatsApp, only after the patient's explicit consent.
⚠️ Account deletion is permanent and results in the loss of appointment history and any available credits.
Article 11 (Liability)
- The Clinic is committed to providing its services with due diligence and in accordance with good professional practice.
- The Clinic does not guarantee specific outcomes from mental health services, as results depend on multiple individual factors.
- The Clinic is not liable for technical interruptions to the website not attributable to its actions, for misuse of its services, or for decisions made on the basis of general information available on the website.
- The Clinic is not liable for failures or interruptions to the WhatsApp service attributable to Meta Platforms, Inc. or WhatsApp Business.
- The Sofia Assistant is not a mental health service. In a crisis situation, patients should contact emergency services (112) or SNS 24 (808 24 24 24).
Article 12 (Intellectual property)
- All content on the website — texts, images, logos, design and software, including the Sofia Assistant — is the property of the Clinic or used with the authorisation of the respective rights holders.
- Reproduction, distribution or use of any content without the Clinic's prior written authorisation is prohibited.
Article 13 (Amendments)
- The Clinic may update these Terms and Conditions at any time, publishing the updated version on the website together with the date of entry into force.
- Continued use of the platform after the publication of changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.
- For significant changes, the Clinic will notify registered patients by email with reasonable prior notice.
Article 14 (Applicable law and dispute resolution)
- These Terms and Conditions are governed by Portuguese law.
- In the event of a dispute, patients may refer the matter to the competent Consumer Dispute Arbitration Centre, in accordance with applicable legislation.
- In the absence of an out-of-court resolution, the courts of the district of the Clinic's registered office shall have jurisdiction.
